Thanks to its project to accelerate the transformation of its territory by design, the Lille European Metropolis was selected by the World Design Organization to represent the "World Design Capital" in 2020. The Lille Métropole Organizing Committee 2020, World Design Capital will transform the territory into a theater of design experiments by offering visitors and users the opportunity to discover the metropolis of the future, through POC's courses - which will reveal in situ the experiments resulting from the collaboration of the designers with a maximum actors of the territory (communities, companies, citizens, training and research organizations, cultural places ...); 4 exhibitions that will present a state of the world from the point of view of design, a light on the evolution of lifestyles, major upcoming challenges -climatic, migratory, educational, food- and the evolution of the designer's professions; many urban events, educational and festive, not to mention the events signed by our partners and the World Design Organization.
